My name is Dante Ambrose, and my career goes by many names. Ghost Hunter, Spectral Chaser, and Supernatural Sleuth. I prefer the latter, which is what I chose to name our business. Some may even challenge its legitimacy as a profession. If you fit in that category, we understand your skepticism. I fully admit that I was a card-carrying member of "I don't believe it if I can't see it." That is until I was invited to be my grandfather's apprentice. What I experienced could not be explained away as science, illusion, or mental illness. So, whether you are already convinced of the supernatural and don't know where to turn or you are committed to disbelief in the supernatural, I'm very pleased you are here.

My grandfather, whom I’m named after, was the first Supernatural Sleuth in my family. You'll learn more about him in another entry. I'll say in this post that I inherited his curiosity, thirst for knowledge, and openness to the universe. Five years ago, after his passing, I assumed the mantle of his decades of success. However, people were more willing to share their haunted experiences during his lifetime. Also, technology, as it is designed to do, evolved over those decades. More resources are now at our disposal, mostly delivered through our smartphones, but that comes with an age of over-information. Despite humanity’s unfiltered disposition to share details on social media—good, bad, and ones they’ll regret posting—I’ve seen the number of supernatural sightings online diminish. While I am inherently optimistic, I must concede to pessimism on why I believe this has occurred: Greed.

Perhaps that is a harsh way to categorize other people's motivations. Please allow me to elaborate. In a world of brand-endorsed influencers and where everyone is addicted to the device in their palm, I’ve concluded that people are less inclined to share their experiences unless there is a financial incentive. Content is locked behind Patreon paywalls. Podcasts entice with teasers, but the whole story requires a paid subscription. Articles cast a click-bail net, require a sign-up, and immediately sell their customers' email addresses to advertisers. That's where Supernatural Sleuth, Inc. comes in.

We do not exist to exploit your uncanny experiences for profit. Though we offer at-hire services, you pay for our expertise and commitment to identifying what otherworldly influences are invading your sanctuary. Ultimately, we are here to provide a path to peace of mind for you and your loved ones. My organization, which includes the king of investigative research, Ezra Dorsey, the queen of communicating with the unalive, Amelia Riley, and me, your professional sleuth, is fully equipped with the passion, technical know-how, and fearlessness that it takes to remove a supernatural threat from your life.
